 1. Can I use my Beachcomber Hot Tub Year Round?
YES. Canadian made Beachcomber
Hot Tubs are built to withstand our Northern Climate. Unlike
most
hot
tubs,
the
pump
and motor
have been moved outside the tub cavity, making it possible
to insulate all four walls - like in your home. Every
nook and cranny is filled with Icynene insulation, just like in an R2000 home to make Beachcomber's
Protec Hot Tub the most energy efficient
Hot
Tub today.

2. Can you install my Beachcomber Hot Tub? What do I need?
YES. You need need a level surface prepared.
We recommend:
• Poured concrete
• Crusher dust base with patio stones
• Wooden Deck
You will also need to supply the electrical. All electrical
must be performed by a qualified electrician. Beachcomber
Hot Tubs use 40, 50 or 60 amp GFCI breaker that is mounted outside
and should be ten to fifteen feet from your hot tub. It wires
from your internal panel box to the GFCI then to the Spapac.
Sound confusing? Not to worry. We can refer you to a qualified
electrician.

3. Why a Beachcomber Hot Tub? What makes it so different?
Beachcomber Hot Tubs are more comfortable,
more energy efficient and safer than many of the other Hot
Tubs on the market today. Remember the McBurney Hot Tub rule
of thumb - "A Hot Tub that is cheap to buy is usually
an expensive Hot Tub to own." Before we became an authorized
Beachcomber dealer, we shopped for a Hot Tub ourselves. The
decision to
invest in a Beachcomber was easy when we considered that Beachcomber
is a Canadian company, offers the Protec system, provides a
customer care line, offers a guarantee over a warranty, dealer
support and a full water care system. Beachcomber just makes
sense.

4. Is a Hot Tub's Horsepower Important? Is more better?
More horse power is not necessarily better.
In fact, the Beachcomber team of engineers regularly work on
reducing the HP - finding ways to do more with less.
The real challenge to is get the most out of the available HP.
When you lower HP AND use it more effectively, you use less
energy and pay less to run your Hot Tub but you still get a
wonderful massage. And that's what you really want isn't it?

5. What does "Max Rated" mean?
Max rating means rating a motor's horsepower
by its maximum peak output. It may sound like you are getting
a more powerful motor, but its just not so. Beachcomber motors
are rated at continuous operating conditions. A rating of 3
hp under normal conditions will provide more power than a pump
max-rated at 7 hp. We give you more therapeutic jet action
with less horsepower - you use less electricity and save money.

6. Do more jets in a Hot Tub make it better quality?
No. As with horsepower, more is not necessarily
better. Many manufacturers will drill as many jets as they
think they need to sell the tub. The fact is, the more holes
drilled in the surface, the weaker the hot tub wall and structure
becomes. Every Beachcomber model is built with a lifetime structural
guarantee. At the same time, we make sure you get to choose
the type of jet and massage you need for customized jet massage
choices. Our WaterPort system lets you select the massage insert
that gives you the number of jets you want, the type of massage,
and the intensity of spray you want with our total body massage.
So you can have exactly the number of jets you want, but without
all the holes.

7. What other investments should I be prepared to make? Chemicals?
Electricity?
You should expect to invest four to five
hundred dollars annually on water care products depending
on frequency of use. During the winter months, a Beachcomber
Hot Tub can average about $15 to $20 per month.

8. How do I clean my Hot Tub water?
Water quality and cleanliness are important
aspects of caring for your hot tub. Beachcomber offers a complete
line of water care products as well as clean and simple water
care programs specifically designed to suit your needs and
maximize your enjoyment. It is our commitment to enhance your
relaxation by providing simple ways to maintain your water.
We offer complimentary water tests in our store and our staff
can assist you in creating your water care plan.

9. Are built in pillows a good idea for a Hot Tub?
No. We do not recommend buying a hot tub
with pillows molded right into the material. One of the biggest
problems with this type of construction is that the permanent
pillow absorbs odors from the bathers and the spa water. This
is not only unpleasant but also very expensive to correct.
As an alternative, Beachcomber has developed comfortable, contoured
neck recesses without pillows that still gives the customer
the option to add a portable pillow if needed.

10. What do you mean by a Beachcomber guarantee vs the competitors
limited warranty?
From Beachcomber founder and president
Keith Scott - It makes me mad when my wife and I
buy something and have a problem
with
it
and
the
manufacturers
say, "Oh, that's not covered in the limited warranty.
Read the fine print." It seems to me that a limited warranty
protects the manufacturer, not the customer. Buying a hot tub
is a major purchase, but few people understand what can go
wrong. I put a guarantee to protect the purchaser. I'm proud
of the position that Beachcomber has taken in looking after
their customers after they purchase a hot tub...I recommend
that you make sure you get a guarantee like Beachcomber's when
you buy a hot tub, not the industry's standard limited warranty.

11. Do I need a circulating pump?
Beachcomber's hush pump keeps your hot tub silent, at the perfect temperature and fills with clear, fresh 100% filtered water for just pennies a day. The hush pump operates at a 63 amp draw.
